Meet and Greet with local poet, activist and educator Amber Allen-Peirson, author of new poetry collection - The Unrooted Bloom 

The Unrooted Bloom is a curated book of autobiographical poems written over 20 years in the life of its author, Amber Allen-Peirson. These poems are an invitation into her raw and vulnerable life experience while searching for love and belonging. As a biracial woman with parents from two very different backgrounds, Amber searches through her ancestors, lovers, motherhood, and grief to find herself, her humanity, and her power.  The arc of the book and her arrangement of words inspires a deep and relatable empathy that is almost otherworldly.  This isn’t a book you just read, it is a book that you experience.
